Um einen Printserver mit einem Drucker betreiben zu können, darf dieser NICHT ein sog. Host-based/GDI Gerät sein. Bitte lesen Sie dazu die Angaben im Manual Ihres Gerätes nach oder konsultieren Sie den Hersteller. Bei Multifunktionsgeräten werden vom Printserver nur die Druckfunktionen unterstützt (für den Druck gelten die Voraussetzungen wie oben), ausgenommen bei speziell vom Hersteller für diese Gerät ausgelegten Printservern.

AXIS Print System is a convenient Windows utility for
finding your Axis print servers and installing printer drivers
from the network.
Web-based Management
AXIS ThinWizard is a powerful Web-based management
software for Axis print servers and all other Axis products.
Using a standard Web browser, it can help you with:

- Status of servers and its peripherals, e.g. printers
